hey, short-stuff!

hello there!

so, perhaps you noticed something? i got a new hair cut! in the jcpenney salon, of all places! the guy who cut my hair was super nice & incredibly knowledgeable when it came to thin hair; i think i found my new hairstylist! i'm going to him tomorrow to get it colored, which is the only other thing he needs to prove himself at. xD (i got my hair cut last friday, btw.)

onto the outfit-of-the-day:

shirt is dkny, shorts are charlotte russe, gladiators are from rack room shoes. earrings are from a consignment/boutique. super comfy school shopping attire, here.

wooden bangle was a gift, skinny bangles are lucky brand or from kohls, beaded bracelets are mark, leather cuff is delia's.

now to the NEW HAIRCUT pictures! :D

i'm really pleased with it. my hair feels thick for the first time in a very long time. it does make me look younger, but that's alright i suppose. it curls rather nicely too. :D

hi you guys!

goodness, i've been... well, kinda lazy, actually. i just got back to my mom's yesterday, & we went out to eat & to an auction where i bought a little something. there's a picture, but i don't want to spoil the surprise. ;) it was a lot of fun! then today we went to pick it up & went grocery shopping, & this is the outfit i wore:


shirt is rue 21 ($3! :D), shorts are target, sandals are from a boutique (city market), earrings were a gift (from avon, i know, however), & ring is simply vera by vera wang (at kohl's).
forgive the stupid posing. xD my camera didn't want to focus either, but i didn't realize this until i uploaded the pictures, so sorry about that too!


my little second piercing looks like a baby compared to my other jewelry. xD




this is what i won at the auction! a green velvet chair! sorry for the shoddy lighting, but isn't it gorgeous? it's so comfy & i like it a lot more than the pink circle chair i had... much more sophisticated & much more my style. it'll definitely be going with me to college next year! :)

piercing #2! (& fiona apple)

bonjour!

so, i told you i had a surprise for you yesterday... here it is!

i got a second ear piercing! it was really an impulse -- i had seen a picture on a blog (i wish i could remember which!) with three ear piercings on the lobe, & i had thought that was neat. yesterday, i decided i'd do it! i'm going to do it in steps, however. also, my friend alyssa (who lives thousands of miles away) got four per ear yesterday! i thought it was neat that we did it the same day & had no idea. xD



this is the aerie surf-ish hoodie i bought. it's SO SOFT; i plan on wearing it with leggings/tights.

& also, i was youtube-surfing & found this jewel. she's a great performer & I LOVE HER VOICE. it's raw & unique & deep (in terms of range). it's also quite the opposite of mine. xD

i'm off to indiana tomorrow with my stepmom to visit my dad; he's working there for the summer. i hear there's some fabulous shopping to be done, and we have some relatives whom i don't see often who live close by where we're staying. it'll be a good trip, i think.

plaid sporty dress + college woes.

hi there lovelies!

the picture above describes the way i feel about applying to college perfectly. i haven't decided what i want to do, or where i want to go, but i have a range of choices for each. i'm looking at yale at the moment for pharmacology or neurology, but i don't know how to get to graduate school in terms of courses and undergrad degrees and OMFG I'M SO OVERWHELMED. i think i might just throw out the idea of ivy league all together because i just feel so frusterated and overwhelmed and alone. i don't know of anyone from my high school going to an ivy league school, so i really don't know if my guidance counselor can help me or if i'd be doing the application process on my own. but anyway.

SUMMER IS HERE! i exempt all of my exams & i'm so happy i have two sweet months of relaxing! ...except for the whole attempting to apply to colleges deal. maybe this means i can blog more -- i hope so! :)

i have an outfit for you today; it's a few months old, back from when it was cold & dreary. but i happen to really love this outfit, so... xD



plaid dress is from charlotte russe -- it's the first thing i bought from the chain, i believe, & it's INCREDIBLY comfy & it has a rather sporty hoodie-deal. white shirt is random brand. grey tights are OLD, from delia's. brown boots are bare traps.

i love these things... ridiculously comfy. they zip up as well, which is great because i have pretty muscular calves. i bought them last black friday for $35!


gold bracelet was a gift from greece, bangles are a mix of lucky brand & mudd from kohls. rose buckled belt is from american eagle.


i was feeling extremely silly when i took these pictures, in case you couldn't tell. xD
pearl & chain necklace is vintage, from my grandmother, & the just-pearl necklace was a gift from her.

hey there loves,

today seems like a good day to post some random inspirations. hopefully after this next week i'll be able to post some decent posts -- this is (hopefully) my last week of school until SENIOR YEAR! (unless i have exams. then phooey.) but anyway~



(that's pretty pessimistic to me~)










i love this one! i'm just a vegetarian, not a vegan -- though i greatly admire them. once i move to a more vegetarian-friendly area, i hope to at least halfway convert.

guess what day it is. dave gahan's birthday! is it bad i kind of celebrate this like a holiday? i ate cake & everything. xD

not much of a writing-post today... just wanted to show you some of the beautiful pictures i snapped at birmingham southern! :)

i kind of love how they just have this cute tree nestled near the dining hall.
